It's Worse on the Weekends
Aug. 11th, 2003 01:08 pmIt seems like my depression really hits hardest on the weekends. Perhaps it's because during the week, I've got my mind on other things and I don't pay any mind to my depression.
Then, the weekend comes around, and I don't have work or clients to keep me preoccupied. Instead, I have two days alone with my thoughts, and I try to do what I can to keep from overeating - usually, I end up sleeping. So my weekends are terribly boring, unless I have something planned.
Even if I'm reading a book or watching a movie, I'd rather be sleeping. Yet, on the weeknights, I either can't sleep for anything - or I can get to sleep, but wake up through the night.
Next Monday, I go to the psychiatrist. Perhaps then I can tell him about how giving up one of my self-medications seems to be trying to keep me down...
Until then, I have work to do. Have a good day everyone. :)
