Riding High on a Deep Depression
Jun. 19th, 2003 08:28 pmI've become such an old lady being back on my drugs. The past two nights, I've come home from work and gone right to bed to take a nap. Perhaps it's just making up for nights of insomnia or something. ;)
I still have the upset stomach/occasional nausea ... which means that I'm not eating as much as I would normally. I'm still debating on whether or not this is a good thing.
Work is going alright, although it seems like it's all about big changes lately.
Patti (our data entry/account tech) is being given hell by Frick and Frack - her current and former supervisors, the Big Cheese has been making comments that she may (or may not) be simply misconstruing ... and she was in tears in Vicki's office today talking about it. So, there's a risk that she could be the next to leave from our department. And if she does, Vicki does have many contacts from her Underwriter days, and could help Patti find another job.
Word is that the new receptionist (yes, the gal that saw me in my tiara and an ice pack) doesn't see this job as a permanent thing - especially since she has a Bachelor's in Business IS. *rolls eyes*
Someone in the Commercial department seems to be on the prowl for a new job - probably better that way, as she seems to not be too fond of her supervisor (whom I think is quite cool, and very nice) and the job itself. Doesn't help that she was heard crying and complaining about the job and said supervisor - saying that she was miserable, and dreaded coming to work. Well, it's a shame that you feel that way. And if it's so bad, then why didn't you try to leave sooner?
As for the producer and his Rush Job? Well, I did mention it to Sherry, and she in turn talked to the producer. I didn't hear the conversation, but I'm guessing that she let him know that this sort of thing doesn't work AT ALL, because it takes us away from everything else on our desks.
Just another day at the office. Never a dull moment, or so it seems.
