hiddenmuseFor those of you that have completely estranged yourselves from bn.net (you're a f*cking smart bunch - love you all), I wanted to share something I'd posted there this morning - in response to their self-aggrandizing, flame wars and general whining. You know, just another day on the Board. ;)
This is from the thread that lit the fire under Steve's ass in his blogging yesterday:

I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying the blog. Whether it's Ed writing about the mundane everyday goings-on in the studio, Tyler writing about the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Jim writing about the joy he gets from the bass, or Steve sharing his opinion on whatever he pleases - it's all wonderful reading.
At this point, they may be a group of people that I don't know from Adam, but I like how the blog has a conversational tone, like I'm reading a friend's blog.
So you may not agree with Steve's sentiments about war - that's okay, I hope that we can still agree to disagree. In the meantime, before you slag on him or anyone else for having a dissenting opinion - or not writing about the 100% happy all the time - think about this...
If it were *your* blog/journal/whatever, you'd probably be pissed off if people said that they didn't want to read about the less-than-stellar goings-on in your life. You're just writing about life as it happens - the good, bad and indifferent. You're sharing the reality of your surroundings.
Try and accept that the Ladies are first and foremost, human. So they have the stellar moments and sour times just like anyone else - that just goes with everyday existence. Now that they have a forum to express those sentiments - we should treat it with the same respect of opinions that we'd want for *our* blogs and journals.

And I still say that Mr. Page was far more composed than me with his gracefully subtle way of telling those people to "kiss my natural Jewish ass". ;)
