hiddenmuseI've been doing quite a bit of reading lately - I just finished the book Lost And Found by Carolyn Parkhurst, and really enjoyed it. (The premise of the book involves an "Amazing Race"-type program, called "Lost And Found" (oddly enough...) and the hodge-podge of people participating in the game, including an ex-gay couple and an estranged mother and daughter.)
Now, I'm reading the Harry Potter oeuvre. You read that correctly. I said reading, as in "this is the first time I've read any of it". I know, I know ... might as well own up to never having seen The Usual Suspects until this month, too.
Anyways, as I said, I'm reading the Harry Potter collection - so far, the first book is really good. I was reading it on the bus this morning, and didn't want to stop reading it! So, I just decided to finish at the 4th chapter, and resume from there.
Finally, Hairspray is coming out next Friday. How do I feel about it? Kind of ambivalent, really. I want to see it - but at the same time, the original Hairspray is like my Rocky Horror Picture Show. So, I'm almost half-prepared to hate the film, since nothing/no one can really compare to Ricki Lake, Divine, Sonny Bono and Debbie Harry. But, I'll give it a chance. That's all I can do, right?
