Hmm.. well, I know you read "King Dork," so in the high school vein, I'd possibly suggest Scott Westerfeld. His Uglies/Pretties/Specials trilogy is a little out there and lacking, but I am currently very much enjoying "So Yesterday." Also, two favorite teen books - "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" by Paul Levithan and Rachel Cohn, and "Boy Meets Boy,", also by Levithan.
[Nick and Norah and So Yesterday are superbly written - the falling-in-love scenes are incredibly sweet and kind of... I dunno. Just...good.]
