Just a really really quick update, since I'm at work.

I think that I may have had another seizure in the middle of the night on Sunday night/Monday morning. All I know is that I woke up, having bitten down on the side of my tongue pretty violently (it's still sore).

Yes, it's that "time of the month" again. Smack me down with the menopause stick, and fast.

two? *raises an eyebrow* you're on meds and you've had two? what else (other then your auntie flo coming for a visit) has changed?

You should see my tongue.... mine is scarred (sp?) and has holes in it from me biting down on it so many times. The upside is our mouthes heal quickly.

Besides my Enemy visiting, no changes. I even upped the Depabloat from 500mgs to 1000mgs, as I was supposed to ... still having the seizures.

And my tongue is still kind of weirded out from last month's seizure. I must've really done a number on myself! :-/

*laugh* mine ususally stays numb on that spot for like a month:) I can feel it but it feels odd. maybe that's the nerves healing.

Depakote is the most evil medicine. I *hate* it. i will not take it, and it didn't do shit for me anyways other then make stupid decisions like turning in front of cars.

You've tried Keppra though right?
And when did you up your dosage? maybe it hasn't had time to kick in?

Haven't tried Keppra yet.

It's like there's a list of drugs I could try: Keppra, Lamictal, Trileptal, so on and so forth. I just adamantly refuse to go on Dilantin. If Depakote is evil, I've heard that Dilantin is just as bad.

Been at 1000mgs of Depabloat for almost a month now. Along with 200 mgs per day of Zonegran. Previously, I'd taken 300 mgs. of Zonegran alone, and went 8 months seizure-free.

So... why the change in drugs? Does the Zonegran have bad side effects (long term?) or maybe to expensive? Or is your doctor just a moron and wanted to change something that wasn't broken?

Can you go back to the Zonegran?

Oh I'm still on Zonegran ... I just wasn't supposed to take it as my primary drug. It's supposed to be used as a secondary drug, in addition to other medications, like Tegretol or Depakote.

The side effects aren't too bad - at least, that I've noticed. Depakote seems to have over-shadowed any side effects that I might have ... lol

lol sorry I meant use it as your primary, not secondary:)

why can't it be a primary other then it's not "supposed" to be? (stupid doctors I mean really if it works why change it?!?!)

I did tegretol once too... can't remember why I went off it, I know it had something to do with side effects... maybe I slept constantly? *shrugs* that was like 5 years ago.
