I'm a sick little puppy

As has been the case in the past several years, my sinus infection has devolved into bronchitis.

Only this time, I had antibiotics to fight off the sinus infection right when it started - and while they worked beautifully, I still ended up with this nastiness that I've heard others call "Martian Death Flu".

Quite an appropriate name, when you think about it, because it feels like a Martian has taken up residence in your person - and you feel like death, especially when the coughing starts up.


So, I'm back on antibiotics (just have to pick them up tonight), and still taking the expectorant cough syrup ... which isn't doing much for me. The Good Doctor told me that if I don't improve, I'll be on Prednisone (a steroid - non-anabolic variety). But, I think that may have more to do with my breathing problems due to the Martian Death Flu, than with the asthma in general.

It just hurts like hell when I cough - and walking on flat surfaces for any distance feels like the Walk of Death all over again. (In other words, exactly how I felt before I started the Advair & Albuterol)


But, that's enough of my complaining. I need to take about 300 Advil to fight off the aches and bit of a fever (okay, so it's more like 3 Advil), and some more of the perfectly useless cough syrup.

awwww I'm sorry:( Sinus infections are what bad people get when we're naughty. that being said, I think I have one too and I feel like crap and want to be a whiney bitch=p

Ouch...feel better hun. Those do suck. Try having the sore throat, but no cough and not being about to eat anything but chicken soup and water for a week because it's the only thing that doesn't hurt. That's what I had last year, so you have my total complete sympathy.

Ah man that sucks. My boyfriend has the same frequent brochitis mess going on for him. It sounds SO horrible when it acts up.
