hiddenmuse: (Shut Up!)
My lovelies - I like to think that you're all quite smart (okay, so some of you are smart ASSES - but I like that), so perhaps you could help me here.

I need/want a non-insurance-geek perspective on something. Just want to know how something reads to the general public, because I had a real doozy of a call recently.

On some of the applications that come in for our clients, there is a Privacy Policy. Basically, it states that your personal information is not shared with marketers - unless you specifically ask to have it passed around like a joint at a party. (Okay, that's not the exact wording ... but behind the cut, is.)

We can't *insure* it - but we can *ensure* it. So surely you can't be serious! )

Starbucks is right next door to my office - and they are sampling their new chocolate drink, Chantico.

Yes, I did get some (the sample appears to be about 4 oz. - a full serving is 6 oz.), and the verdict is: The taste reminds me of when I was small, and I wanted to drink/eat the recently cooked JELL-O Cook and Serve chocolate pudding. And when I say "recently cooked", I mean that it's off the stove - but hasn't been refrigerated to allow it to set. To put it simply, it's alright - but I don't think I'd get it again.

What was I expecting? I'm not sure. I guess that I half-hoped that it would be similar to Mexican Chocolate, which combines the sweet with spicy. Instead, it seemed to have the consistency of molé sauce, without the kick.
