Apr. 17th, 2004 09:20 pmAll I can say on the job front is that there is some pending good news. Apparently my phone interview with the agency owner went quite well, so I should find out something by early next week.
In other news, apparently my mom is coming around about my being out here. She told me that at first, she was upset that I was moving out here. Now, she says that she's happy that I'm out here - because it gives her a reason to visit San Francisco - and that she hopes that I'll stay out here for at least several years.
As you can imagine, that made me feel really good. :-D
Also, today was a good day. Kellie and I went to the Lower Pacific Heights area this morning, to go to a store called Mollie Stone's. Besides visiting the store, we got to have coffee and bagels, and do our share of people and dog-watching. Of course, that was a lot of fun. It was so nice to just hang out, take in the sun and the parade of people, and not have to rush home immediately.
A little later in the afternoon, we went to the Farmer's Market. Since we went later in the afternoon, many of the farmers were looking to sell their goods - otherwise, they'd end up in the compost heap - and cheap. Also, we went to Ciao Bella for some wicked yummy sorbet (Cosmopolitan flavor for me, Coconut for Kellie).
And since I'm trying new foods - to expand the culinary horizons - I tried brussel sprouts for the first time yesterday, and LOVED them. I was able to get back to the restaurant where I had them, and found out how they were prepared - steamed, then tossed with olive oil and basil. Quite yummy, if I say so myself. (Yes, we bought some brussel sprouts to try and replicate their recipe.)
That's about all for now - I'll write again later!
