Gracias, danke, merci, and thank you many times over to the goodness that is sigmaration for helping me to get out of my BNL ticket predicament. :)

Thanks to her (and those of you that brainstormed and/or conspired with her), I was able to order LR tickets for the St. Louis show.

Now, I'm just all spilkes here because I paid using a Visa check card - and the LR site says "No debit cards". Have any of you paid for the LR tickets with Visa or Mastercard check cards before - and if so, were there any problems? (I know, I know, the card works just like a credit card - I just get anxious when it comes to things like this.)

It's Been One Week ...

and two days since my stepdad was sprung from the hospital. This time, for once, he's managing to stay out! :)

It's nice to have that little bit of good news in a world that seems to be filled with such disarray lately. First, my stepdad making it past one week out of the hospital, then getting tickets for the Barenaked Ladies concert (my lucky date for the night may very well be Miss Taylor - I did promise her that I'd take her to see the Ladies the next time they came to St. Louis, after all!), and I managed to get tickets for a sneak preview of the film Girls Will Be Girls (a film with an all-male cast playing female roles) next Wednesday. Who knows what could happen next? I'm just hoping to keep up the good Karmic vibes somehow, being able to do a good turn for those that have been done for me lately. :)


Besides that, tomorrow night is show night, and I'm certainly psyched. When I have co-workers telling me that I *look* stressed out, I know that things are going badly. Then again, I haven't been sleeping for anything, and some nights, I'm afraid to take my sleeping pill - worried that I'll oversleep or end up turning into a total zombie at work the next day.


Now, I'm going to get my ass to the mall. I need to get to FYE to find that Barenaked Ladies single - "Another Postcard", so I can work on corrupting Taylor's little brain further. That, and perhaps I should loan them my copy of Disc One, as well as share Everything To Everyone as soon as I get it. At least that way, Butthead can pretend to sing along while she makes fun of Ed's mohawk-in-training. ;)

I will blog more later - thanks to everyone that helped me this afternoon during my minor-league freakout. :)

Really really loved

I've got a date for the Barenaked Ladies concert on the 30th - and she's quite psyched about going. :)

Yes, I called my sister this evening and asked her if she wanted to go to the concert with me. If the family wasn't trying to sleep, she'd probably have screamed. Instead, she said "I love you! I mean, I already love you - but I love you more!" So, I have apparently gotten Coolest Sister of the Year in Taylor's opinion. That definitely works for me.

So that's the good news for tonight. I'm going to get my work clothes together and go to bed soon - I cut off the caffeine before 5 p.m., and I'm actually winding down.
