Dammit, Janet ... I love you!

That has no relevance to anything whatsoever. And I like it that way. Besides, I'm feeling absolutely scattershot random today - must be the caffeine.

I'm doing a little better than I was on Monday - I think getting almost 10 hours' sleep last night contributed to that. :)

Still, I'm looking forward to Thursday night. I could use a few good laughs ... and a cute guy to get silly over. ;) Well, okay, so that's the caffeine - and the intoxication of being hugged by someone that gives damn good hugs. (Speaking of which, I'm also looking forward to next Friday night - flying out to see Kellie!!!)

First off - good news on the family front. It turns out that there's nothing wrong with my stepdad's kidneys, or heart, as originally thought. He'd had a considerable amount of fluid drained from his lungs yesterday, and today, despite still being in some pain, seems to be doing much better.

Things are gradually looking up - and I'm glad to hear it at this point.


Second - this is just for me being a dork. :) I've determined that I am a tomboy femme: Femme enough to know my way around the cosmetics counter, and to know why a woman has to have 30 pair of black shoes. Yet butch enough to know how to use the tools in my tool kit, as well as being inclined to use WD-40 and/or duct tape as quick repairs for anything.
