First things first - hello to [livejournal.com profile] cinderjewel and [livejournal.com profile] kcjc!

Yes, I'm posting this from work - mainly because I've got running to do after I leave here, and who knows if I'd even be in the mood to get online when I get home. Although, I should get on to post something I'm not about to write from where I'm at currently. *smirk*

Today has had its moments. It's been kind of a same-old, same-old day - which is probably good. I had a client meeting that I went to with Sherry, because she was meeting with a client in the same office, and managed to survive. You know, I have to be careful - I could get spoiled by these client meetings where all we do is get them to sign papers and give us the payment for their insurance. One day, I'll end up with someone that has 20 trillion questions for me....

It's been Fat Week at the office, all leading up to Friday, when we close up shop early to go out for lunch and our holiday party. What Fat Week means is that people bring in various goodies - even a few healthy for you items - and we nosh all week. One of our insurance carriers sent us a gift box from Honeybaked Ham - so we've had quite a bit of food from that alone. And no worries, they haven't had to roll me out of the office. Yet. ;)

Well ... it's about time that I head out & get my errands run. I will post about more stuff when I get home tonight. Until then, be well everyone!

Listening to the 9 1/2 Weeks soundtrack, I'm realizing that there's a problem: the music is a & m-azing and makes me want to watch the film again. But the film sucks, except for the music and the sex scenes. (I'm guessing that there's a few of you that never thought you'd hear "great music, great sex scenes" in the same sentence. Glad I could change that for you.)

I'd write about the work dreck ... but I'm not feeling grumpy enough to do that. Instead, I'll say that I'm glad that I have gotten my Christmas shopping done. Even if the queue at Borders Books was long, it's better than it would probably be on Christmas Eve. Besides, I got the half-second thrill of leaving the butch at the register feeling a bit flustered. *eg*

From the Nevada Division of Insurance ... an Insurance Quiz.

http://www.naic.org/gsw/quiz.htm

For someone that's a little over 6 months' out of licensing classes, and unfamiliar with Nevada Insurance Law, I was scoring in the high 200s - which is really good, especially since 300+ is Pro.

So, if you're crazy enough - or just a huge dork like me - go to their site and find out what you know about insurance, eh?

In the meantime, I'm gonna see if I can get into Chubb Insurance's website from home - they have some really cool features for the agents, I wonder if it's the same for the clients and the general public....

As a (dis)service to you all, I present a list of the following things no insurance geek wants to hear when you're calling in an auto claim. If you're apprehensive about reading these, I promise, they are funny. And not in that "only Carly and her fellow insurance geeks would get it" way, either.

take a peek here! )
