For my occasional grumping about a client or the Arctic conditions in the office, I will say that every once in a while, it's nice to have a client give me a compliment out of the blue.
It happened to me the other day, and it happened again today. I'd taken a call from a client who was calling to report an auto claim. In the course of taking the information, this person found out that I was a relative newcomer to the city (which people would probably be bound to find out at some point in working with me), and asked me how I liked the city. At the end of the conversation, my client said that they were glad to have me here (in San Francisco).
When I called him back later, with a claim number and the adjuster's name (because I'm nice like that), he thanked me for my efficiency.
Today, I spoke with him again, and he told me once again that they were glad to have me here. That really made my day. :-D
