... or, was it an inevitability?
No, this isn't about my current job. That's going pretty well - I'm still in classes until Friday morning. It's about the agency I'd left behind.
Yesterday, I'd gotten a card in the mail from Shelly, who was my last supervisor (for all of two weeks), just her way to say hello and let me know how things were going back in St. Louis. Well, apparently, a few weeks ago - about the same day that I'd started my new job - she'd been fired from the agency. The HMM told the department (and probably everyone else) that it was a mutual decision, but from the vague wording of the message, I was divining that there's probably more to it than she was wanting to say right now.
It almost makes me wonder - if they'd let her go, would they have let me go at some point, too? Because I doubt that they'd have made me a department head or let me get anywhere beyond CSR. In other words, if I weren't fired, I probably would've quit - plans to come to San Francisco or not.
That's all for now. I'm sore, achy and want to get into a hot bubble bath to soak for a month or two. Love you all - have a great day tomorrow, and here's hoping that Jasmine leaves AI tomorrow. The girl can't sing that well.
