I'm home now - and definitely calling the doctor on Monday, if the cough syrup doesn't do anything for me.

After work, I did some running around - even got my eyebrows arched, so they look much better. Managed to avoid the siren song of Lane Bryant and their shitty clothes - despite the sale prices. Went to Zany Brainy (a subsidiary of FAO Schwartz) and geeked out a bit over some of their Hello Kitty goodness - especially since they have Badzt Maru stuff - on sale at 40% off the ticketed prices. Then, I went to Target to use my gift card from the family. I got The White Stripes Elephant, which is really really good; as well as some of the holiday cosmetics sets that were on sale (Neutrogena cosmetics gift set - $20 value for $5, and Revlon's "Cherries In The Snow" lip palette of 5 colors for about $4).

I had all the best intentions to come home and work on getting some cleaning done. Then, halfway home, I realized that I was feeling really crappy and run-down, thinking that perhaps a dose of cough syrup, a bubble bath with candles and the White Stripes CD would be in order. Walking home from the bus stop, I thought "screw the bath. I'd probably fall asleep in there." So, here I am. I took a teaspoon of cough syrup with an expectorant & codeine about an hour ago. I'm still feeling a bit draggy, so I think I may just get some trash taken out - and go to bed early. The rest can be done tomorrow. As for my room, the laundry can be done over the week - I need to just throw out the needless junk that's accumulated.

That's about all. I'll probably write more tomorrow, when I'm feeling more alive. Good night, everyone!

yes, lane bryant's clothes are not good since they got bought out by fashion bug. not that i mind fashion bug. honestly, they are decent for what they are. but if you are going to produce cheap clothes i want cheap prices like those of fashion bug to go along with the quality.

Seriously, don't worry about making the place sparkle for me. I am more than happy to do cleanup/organizing/pre-move work while I'm there... and I'm more than happy to take good care of you, go to the dr with you and nurse you back to health.

I realized that - so now, I'm just busying myself with at least getting the bedroom cleaned up (I *do* have a floor!) and doing laundry, and getting the kitchen cleaned up.

Otherwise, if you can look past the living room & dining room not being anal-retentive perfect ... then we're fine! (Especially since I've been feeling especially crummy today. Bleargh.)

That would explain my lack of interest in their clothes ... I guess I could somehow sense that they'd really gone down in quality. Besides that, I could never find anything remotely dressy there. No love for Lane Bryant, that's for sure!

Right now, the entire CD rocks - but I'm especially into "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself", "I Want To Be The Boy...", "There's No Home For You Here", and "Ball and Biscuit".

I did - it sounded vaguely familiar when I first heard it, then I saw that it's a Burt Bacharach/Hal David song. :) So that's probably part of the reason that I liked it - it's familiar, just done in a new style.

Well, it might help to have a bed to sleep on - as well as at least a path cleared to get to said bed!

And it may help to have dishes to eat from - or something.

I just worry because it gives me something to do with my time.
