I'm home from work today, because I sound (and feel) like Hell. :( This really sucks, because I rarely get sick, and when I do ... oh boy, it hits hard. So I'm taking my antibiotics & cough syrup, getting plenty of rest, eating chicken soup, and even getting in a bubble bath when possible.

As for the family, my step-dad is beginning a three-day test of his heart. He's being injected with a radioactive ion {or isotope, I just remember that it starts with an "I" and it's radioactive, so he'll glow in the dark nicely for a few days}, and over the next three days, the doctors are going to track his heart, to look for any abnormalities in the next few days.

Mom isn't particularly keen on this procedure. Actually, she's looking to find and retain a lawyer, because she thinks that somewhere along the lines, a doctor (or some doctors) fucked things up. Then again, hearing the internist say in an off-hand manner, "maybe we should've done a physical and checked your kidney function before starting the chemo" was rather off-setting.

The medical drama never ends. It's like E.R. meets The Practice or something.

Honestly, if it's what I think it is, it may take a week to clear up. Take lots of echinaecea and vitamin c..you can get both at the local dollar store, usually. Also A LOT of water, and TONS, I MEAN TONS, of sleep. Sleep all day.

It's really been going around. I had it last month and it kicked my azz.

Best wishes.....

Thank you. :)

I've got the Vitamin C, I'll just have to get some Echinacea this afternoon. And I've been catching naps whenever possible - even if it's just for an hour.
