Yes, it's time for a few more questions from the Book of Questions - Love & Sex. Same as before - questions are numbered according to their numbering in the book, and my answers are behind lj cuts.

(15) If you were sick and feeling miserable, would you rather be by yourself or have your partner with you? Why?

Personally, I'd rather be alone, but I'd probably want someone there. And if someone were there, I'd want to be alone. So maybe I'm best off being whiny and miserable by myself. Otherwise I'd be thought to be a passive/aggressive whiny bitch ... and the least fun person to be around.

(62) How did you find out about sex? Can you think of a better way to have picked this up?*

*question modified from original wording

I found out from those organ recitals in grade school. Well, what little they told us, that is. I also picked it up from my dad's porno collection - as well as friends' dads' porno collections, and from smutty novels.

I'm sure my parents could've told me about the mechanisms of sex, but I would've tuned them out very quickly, not wanting to even imagine them having sex, let alone discussing it with me.

I think what I'd learned, coupled with my upbringing, had me so afraid and ashamed by the idea of getting pregnant or getting a disease, that I was terrified of the mere idea of having sex with another person. Ever.

So I really could've done without the guilt trip and the assumed scare tactics. But I don't know of a better way. Is there truly a better way, that's the question.

(120) Assume you are to be blessed with one lover you adore and one soul mate you can talk to about anything. Would you rather have these be two separate individuals or one and the same person? Why?

In a Utopian Parallel Universe, they would be one and the same, and I could trust that person with my deepest secrets and fears, without fear of having it used against me later.

So, I'd rather it be one person. It would be easier than having to wait to discuss things with the soul mate, because you wouldn't share those matters with your lover. I'd like to be able to tell that one person how I feel about whatever - and know that regardless of what I say, feel or think, they'd still feel the same towards me, and not let my eccentric beliefs sway them.

(197) Have you ever answered or written a personals ad? If so, are you glad you did it? If not, have you ever toyed with the idea?

I have answered and placed those ads in the past. Am I glad I did it? In a couple of instances, yes. But I think I had too many mixed-to-awful experiences to contemplate doing it again.

Now, I just read them for the humour value ... and also to pair off people in my head. That's especially fun. But, I'm a pretty easily amused sort of girl - so that may do it.
