today's news of the REALLY weird

flyswatter had mentioned this in her blog, and I ended up finding a link on MSN's homepage.

You can't make this shit up - I only wish that I could: Michael Jackson Breeds Again!

No word on whether or not he was even in the same building as the surrogate mother when conception occurred - although he has been seen with the human incubator for his impending baby litter.

Anyone else finding this to be a little weird or squicky? Or, just not caring anymore?

Despite the good news on the familial front, I still get nervous.


Today, my phone rang at work - and a phone number with a 314 area code (St. Louis) flashed on the screen. My heart almost stopped, and I tried to prepare myself for the worst.


Thankfully, instead of a doctor, family member or friend calling as the bearer of bad news, it was someone from Fireman's Fund calling about a client - looking for contact information.


Still ... it was enough to scare me for a moment. It reminds me that no matter how good things are going, the possibility still lurks in the back of my mind. That one day, I could get a call from St. Louis with bad news. And I don't know if I could deal with it right now - or ever.
