good news for once

I haven't really updated on my family - my stepdad in particular - in a while, so perhaps I should do that.

It's a quick update ... but the news is too good to not pass along. :-D


MY STEPDAD HAS JUST REACHED ONE YEAR CANCER-FREE!!!


Thank you to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, beams, and everything else - I really think that the Good Mojo helped keep our family's spirits up when times got to be especially low.

Wait ... Nick Lachey is getting old at all of 30 years of age? What's wrong with that picture? He may not be my type - he did marry that puffball, after all - but, come on ... he does look good, and is far from old.

*sigh* I can't wait until she hits the Big 3-0. Old as the hills!! ;)

movie question

Just wondering ... have any of you seen Metallica - Some Kind of Monster, or do you even have a desire to see it?

I want to see it - keep hearing good (even great) things about the film - and I'm a Metallica fan (big surprise there, to those of you that know me) ... I just wanted to see if there were any general opinions of the film. A point of view that isn't a critic's.
