Proud Fan Moment
Nov. 12th, 2003 12:54 pmOkay, I have to gloat for a moment here ... The Non Prophets have made the cover of The Riverfront Times, and as soon as the slackers (the RFT, that is) get their site updated, I will link to the article! :^D
In the meantime, I did grab up a copy or two (any more than that, and I would cross the line from fan to psychotic groupie) and I've been sharing the love with my co-workers.
I'm just so happy for them right now - that's how much of a geek I am.

Magnetic Poetry
Nov. 12th, 2003 08:19 pmor "Write Your Own Damn Dave Matthews Band Lyrics!"
A few years ago, I bought a Magnetic Poetry calendar, and had a lot of fun with it. Tonight, while rummaging through some boxes in my closet, I found the Magnetic Poetry portion - the calendar since discarded.
They word selection is limited, so it's like trying to write poetry with the blank Scrabble tiles - or writing lyrics for the next Dave Matthews song. ;)
So, in the interest of sharing my creativity (or possibly torturing people - your call), this is what I came up with ... blank Scrabble tiles filled in.
( Sylvia Plath she ain't - thankfully )
