Oh Sweet Irony
Oct. 16th, 2003 10:32 amIt's Boss' Day - and I am in a boss-less department. Yeah, apparently when Sherry's position was eliminated and she was to be moved into sales, the department would become "self-managing".
I'm surprised that we haven't moved into bedlam worthy of Lord of the Flies at this point in time.
Still, we took part in the small-time genuflection and ass-kissing that is "Laud the Big Boss" and tried our damndest to not roll our eyes at the sight of it all.
Perhaps I'll take myself out for a sandwich, and try to disregard the fact that today is Boss' Day - and I'm my own damn boss. :-p
{p.s.: as much as I hated it when I first heard it, "Another Postcard" is turning out to be really addictive. That and I love "Next Time" - then again, any time Steve gets all plaintive when he sings, I get all swoony.}
