Well, apparently someone (me) needs a dose of BNL - and fast!

Kellie called me this afternoon to tell me about the Guster show in Los Angeles, and when she mentioned seeing Steve (Page) at the show ... I thought she meant her friend Steven, or perhaps another guy named Steve that she knew. It didn't occur to me that she meant my future ex-husband until she said, "yeah, they were all there except Ed..." *smacks forehead* Ah well ... but apparently Kevin was looking healthy and yummy, with long-ish hair, glasses and an extra 20 lbs. :) {Yes, Kevin has joined the few, the proud, the myopic! *smirk*}

Read this in the RS Daily e-mail and almost had a heart attack:

The day after SPEARHEAD performed at a war protest rally in San Francisco, two plainclothes Army officers dropped by the home of band member RADIOACTIVE's mother to interrogate her. "They showed her a picture of her son wearing a t-shirt that said 'Unfuck the world' and 'Dethrone the Bushes,'" frontman MICHAEL FRANTI told Rolling Stone. "She said, 'That's free speech,' and they said, 'Well, things are changing these days.'" The band just released a new protest song, "Bomb the World," on its Web site.

And I confess, I put that in there, not just because of the army officers getting all "1984" on people - but because Michael Franti has ruled in my book for years. Granted, I haven't listened to much Spearhead (or Franti's prior band, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy), but I've had love for him since the early 90s when he'd gone onto the British TV show "Top of the Pops" - after Shabba Ranks and Marky Mark had been on, making blatantly homophobic statements - wearing a t-shirt that said "Fuck Homophobia". :)

Well it's good to know that they're still alive an' kickin'. I'm with ya on that one. I need a major BNL fix as well. I hope they'll get to recording soon.

Good news - they are in L.A. to record the next album. :)
