Oh, Henry

I've been listening to Henry Rollins' spoken word performances (the Talk Is Cheap series is especially fun), and somehow came to the realization that I want to fuck Henry Rollins.

Yeah, I know. Kind of took me by surprise, too. I want to talk with him about being curmudgeon-y and telling those goddamn kids to get off the lawn. Looking forward to being 50 and badass (okay, so he's got about 12 years on me with that one ... heh), and telling Ann Coulter to just Shut The Fuck Up. And perhaps at the end of the night - well, you can probably guess what would happen there.

So yes, here I am, kind of surprised at the fact that I want to do nasty, naughty things with a man - and Henry Rollins at that!

Awesome!!!!

While I never got too much into Henry, both my hubbies have loved him, so I have heard/read a lot by him. I remember in one of his books he spoke of Ottawa (where I live) as one of the most awful places he has ever been...but I think it is lovely. LOL!!

So let me get this straight...you are attracted to women, Patrick Stump and Henry Rollins? Man, you rock!!!! :)

Yes indeed! :-)

His stories about kids - mainly, his manager's kids - are quite funny, and I love that he's owned up to wasting time on eBay trying to out-bid people on classic albums (among other geeky goodness).

Doesn't surprise me one bit.

I'm as straight as you are queer, and I'd blow Henry without a second thought.

I've heard of a few guys saying that kind of thing - that they're ridiculously straight, but they wouldn't turn Henry away if given the chance.

YES!!!!

Honestly, the first I'd ever heard him was his spoken word in the early 1990s - i knew about Black Flag but didn't know HANK :) and i used to listen to his spoken word tapes over and over again.
Ah, Henry. when I finally met him in person, he was quiet, sweet and shy. but then he followed my friends and I into a music store and was more like the Henry we know and adore. :)

I kind of got into him a bit late into the game - The Rollins Band's "The End of Silence" was my first exposure, and it was a very good thing.

It would be awesome to meet him, but I'd worry that I would have the "Ed Robertson Quark" response (I used to tell Kellie that if I'd met Ed Robertson, I would probably be so nervous that all I could say was 'Quark!') and feel like a total ass.

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.

That's my credo, at least - why cut yourself off from half of the population?

I've loved Henry since the Black Flag days. He is my most enduring crush. Not only does he have a great bod, but he is intelligent and funny. He's a chronic curmudgeon, just like me. A lot of that is image, though. I met him a bunch of times and he was always cool; not the asshole he makes himself out to be.

He does have a great body, and I think it's the intelligence and humor that really did it to me!

He's witty, snarky, smart as hell and I love it.

girlfriend, I've wanted to do the nasty with henry Rollins for years.
