Kellie Update

For those of you that read Kellie's lj as well as mine ... I have a post-surgery update. :)

I talked to her earlier this evening, and while she was a bit groggy from the anesthesia and the tube shoved down her throat (and yanked out just as unceremoniously), she seems to be doing well. The doc said that her gallbladder was fine, save for that menacing gallstone.

She's supposed to be going home tomorrow, and taking it easy for a week. And I promise to be easy on her when she comes to visit over New Year's. Y'see, instead of being entertained by Steven Page & co., I get the honors this year. I just hope that I can live up to the caliber of previous NYE celebrations ... hehe. ;)

I dont read Kellie's journal, but since I just had my surgery a couple of weeks ago and a friend of mine is having it done tomorrow, I know what she is going through, and its great to hear that her surgery was a success. At least she didnt get stuck in the hospital for a week like I did, and it sounds like she will be able to enjoy her Thanksgiving dinner (as long as she doesnt eat too much).

Damn pesky little gallbladder. They should remove those at birth or something.
