Right now, I'm having a hate-hate relationship with my skin.

Besides the rosacea flare-up, I'm also dealing with being itchy all over my arms, neck and a few random spots on my face. I have no clue where it came from, just that it makes me feel like taking a bath in Calamine lotion.

I'll have to wait until I get home to slather on the hydrocortisone cream and/or take a shower with the Aveeno oatmeal bath/shower gel.

In the meantime, I'm going to do what I can to keep from scratching myself all to hell.

Yep - it's really good stuff!

I get that occasionally, too. I always assumed it was a larger breakout, something related to rosacea that runs in my family.

It sucks - and I found out that it was an allergic reaction to the cat fur/dander on my clothes. That's what I get for not taking my allergy meds for a few days!

Eek! I found out two weeks ago what happens when I don't take mine: shortness of breath, exhaustion, and the normal stuffy nose, runny eyes, etc.

Kukui nut creme.
You have to order it from Hawaii, but it's really the best stuff ever. Ahh...this stuff (http://www.visitlahaina.com/Detail.bok?no=129), it's great for sun burn, though it sounds like you touched someone who got poison ivy.
Anyway, I found you when looking for people who had "Alton Brown" among their interests, and I liked your default icon.

Thanks! I like your icon, too. :)

I don't know of anyone around me that has/had poison ivy, although I found the culprit. Apparently my pet allergies are quite serious, since I probably had some dander on my clothes (or body) and I'd missed taking my allergy meds for a couple of days. Once I took a dose of the meds, the itching stopped. (go figure!)

I hate the mystery allergies. I don't have much to complain about except randomly not being able to breath out of my nose... we're going to say dust.
Yay for relief!
