Icon help, please!

Okay, I'm perfectly inept when it comes to making icons. I've got an insane number of images that I'd love to have turned into icons - but I don't know how to resize them!

If any of you could walk me through the process ... or even help me make the icons, I'd appreciate it! :-)

I use a program call irfanview and it's really easy to resize stuff using it. Once you get the program, open the picture that you want --> Image --> Resize/resample --> on the left hand side of the box that pops up you can type in the new size you want (lj only accepts pics for icons at 100x100 pixels so just type 100 into one of the boxes and it will configure the other number for you.) --> save it --> upload to lj!
