Peak

I know that researchers say that men hit their sexual peak in their late teens (and apparently never leave it), and for women, it's right about when they reach 30.

How do you even know if you've hit your peak? Do you just wake up one morning having been smacked upside the head by your raging libido? Or is it more subtle - not that I'd completely understand subtlety.

I just wonder because for some reason, even though I get spanked pretty well by depression, the past few weeks, I've been running around (dare I say it?) horny as all get-out. My creative drive is shot to shit, but my sex drive is definitely there.

And if you want really wierd ... saying that "I'm horny" is probably the hardest thing for me to come out and say. Probably because of the whole "Nice Girls Don't" stigma that was hammered in to my pretty little head so perfectly. Yes, me (for those that know about it), the Resident Pervert that has no qualms about writing erotica that spans straight, slash, bi, threeways, BDSM, anal sex, whatever - doesn't have the heart, guts or nerve to say that she's a horny devil.

Maybe in the way that some people talk about hiding their hearts while others give theirs freely, not openly admitting to wanting sex is my way of hiding my heart. If my libido isn't on display, then I can't become vulnerable to people, because when that happens, they take advantage and run with it. And I've had that happen too often to want to re-live it anytime soon.

Feeling horny can be really great - there is an energy there.

And I don't think you have to say it, you exude it...

I'm taking that as a compliment and running with it. *kiss*
