Baby, you can drive my car

No, really. I mean it.

Especially since I've come to the decision that even though I've reached six months' seizure-free (go me!), I really have no business behind the wheel of a car - unless it happens to be on a Go-Kart track.

It may feel like resignation, but in reality, it's just the realization that I don't always have the pre-seizure auras that I used to - and that was my one-minute warning to find a Happy Place and rest until the seizure ended. Behind the wheel of a car, I may not have that luxury, and I'd be afraid of having a seizure, and inadvertently causing a major accident.

I can be six months, sixteen months, or six years without seizures - but I'd rather leave the driving to someone else. For my safety, and the safety of those around me.

So yes, I will continue to be the non-driving insurance agent. Someone that can sell you Auto insurance, without having personally owned a car. Just like I can sell you Homeowner's insurance, while only having had renter's policies.

Not driving a car is also kind to the Earth.
