"Let's Add Prozac To The Water Supply!"

From what I've been reading in the Gossip Mill (i.e.: my Friends' LJs) today, there is wonderful news for Kevin Hearn of Barenaked Ladies - as he has just become a daddy! *beams like an idiot*

This, of course, has resulted in a hell of a lot of contention in various circles, to put it extremely mildly. Why people can't just be happy for Kevin and his new family is beyond me. Why the news of a new baby coming into the world has to bring out the worst and weirdest in some people is utterly confounding. Maybe it just has to do with the father, and his perceived image as being "innocent, can do no wrong, and dare I say it - borderline asexual".

Now, I will admit to having joked that if Kevin did have a family, some of the fans would probably prefer to think that his children were conceived by Immaculate Conception. ;)

But in all seriousness, I do think its wonderful that he's a father, and I think that he will truly appreciate and cherish his son or daughter.

In the meantime, for those that are taking it way too seriously - and getting their panties in a bunch over this - I'm adding Prozac to their water supplies. ASAP. Anyone care to join me?

ooo Wellbutrin works wonders, and it makes you perform better in bed ;) so, maybe we put some wellbutrin in their water suply and then they are happy and like.. do it with someone while NOT thinking about Kev! ;)

Hehehe - great idea, Nicole. But, one small problem ... a certain percentage of the Hearniaks (present company excluded) had Kevin isolated in a bubble of asexuality - probably like they themselves were. :-X

Last thing we need is to have a bunch of "just discovered their horniness" Hearniaks running wild in the streets. ;)

I remember Kellie sigmaration telling me stories about the girls who are wild over Kevin. I'm sure their undies are in wads right about now.

But since I'm clueless about much of the BNL personal lives, was this a surprise? Planned? Serious girlfriend? One night stand? Prostitute? Hee.

The sad thing is, it already has.
