My mom sent a link to Carlin's CNN obituary to my dad, my sister, and me, with a note saying, "Thought you'd be interested." And I have to admit, I was amused, if only because I know that, if Mom was at all familiar with Carlin, she held him in contempt.

I hold out hope that the fundies will get their undies unbunched about gay marriage in CA, at least enough not to strike it down in the election.
