Okay, so I survived the dentist. Unfortunately, I forgot my Mother's Little Helper (the Ativan), so getting the lidocaine injections wasn't fun at all. Actually, I almost screamed with each injection - needed in order to give me more injections of lidocaine.

But, I do have my permanent crowns - it just seems weird to have them, considering that I'd gotten used to the temporaries. Now, the numbness is wearing off, and I'm starting to be able to feel my face again. And it was kind of funny that my dentist said that I could get a lip piercing since I was so numbed up. I'd think that she'd be the last person to be cool with that kind of piercing, because they have a reputation for fucking up teeth. Then again, maybe that's why she's cool with it. More business! ;)

Anyways, I'm relegated to soft foods for the next couple of days - yep, back to soup, mashed potatoes, Jamba Juice and maybe even ice cream or frozen yogurt for lunch!

So, that's that.

Yep - once I got past the pain, it went quite well. One of the many, many reasons that I love my dentist.

When I was younger, I'd have to get an insane number of shots of novocaine - just for a filling! The lidocaine with an epinepherine chaser seems to help, which means fewer shots! The anti-anxiety drugs really helped the last time. Could've really helped when I was younger and insanely antsy in the chair!
