If this was an isolated incident, I'd agree with you - from my perspective, it's more
a) They could have seen that she wasn't serious without needing to go over there and question her b) This stuff happens all the time over mere statements of protest, checking out books about Arabs, taking pictures of landmarks, and wearing the wrong t-shirt.
It wasn't wise for her to post what she did, but I don't believe questioning her was justified by the post; I think it's become a rallying point because so much of the supression of the last four years has built up frustration with the administration. I certainly know that's why I'm so ticked off. Not on that specifically, but on remembering a time when the Secret Service would not have wasted its time on more than a cursory glance at the post.
